Community Program in Cibubur

Indonesia – Bayer Indonesia launched a community program within the vicinity of its Cibubur Plant late last year. The program was inaugurated by Mr Michael Evangelista, CDH for Bayer Schering Pharma and attended by senior managers from the Cibubur plant and the head offi ce in Jakarta.

The day started with a general health check-up and distribution of necessary medicines to residents. Food supplement kits were also distributed to the children in the community. In addition, residents attended a lecture on "Know more about Dengue Fever" and participated in a quiz where prizes were given out. In the afternoon there was an anti-mosquito fogging done within the factory's neighboring community.

The program was a great success with nearly 50% of the community participating. The community program for residents around the Cibubur plant will be an ongoing initiative with future activities being planned on a regular basis.
